Hi, it’s jixi… Well 2016 is over, and I am here to say Thank You to all my friends and family here. See you in the new year -> 2017.
But before we are off to the races in 2017, here is my 2016 review…
I released 5 projects in one year -> Nemesis, The Burna Effect, Heart Lies, I’m Feeling You and Nemesis 2…
I performed 3 times in one day, in 3 cities (technically) brooklyn, bronx, manhattan…in New York City.
I was featured on a Music App in the App Store…
I took part in Make Music Day, June 21st for the 1st time… 6/21/2016. Make Music 10th Anniversary.
I performed at a few new venues around new york city.
I released a mini book with great reviews for Nemesis.
You can say it was a good & hard year for me creatively, and I believe all things happen for a reason.
Thank you 2016 for your mischievous way, but you truly have me confirmed and secure in my decisions and career goals.

So, tell rural, country, western gal how many miles you had to travel to do 3 city performances in one day? Cuz seriously, I have my perspective, BUT, I also know it takes me 20 minutes, minimum, to drive from the east side to west side of Colorado springs (traveling the speed limit, through the town I live in to the next town is like 5 minutes on one side, 40 minutes on the other side – LOL – ain’t neither of them ‘cities’ though – LOL)
And just to make you laugh, if I ever become a performer, I’m going to do a 4 states in 1 day tour – I’ll mosey on down to 4-corners area, and find those who are willing to give me space for 4 or 5 folks and me to hold a meeting – I have a plan! LOL
Well it starts off with living in New York City, and within the New York State, there is a city and the city has boroughs that is considered like mini cities. But I just they are more like towns, but yup. I performed at 11am, 2pm, and 6pm in one day, traveled and put on a 30 mins -45mins set with friends. so as one show was done, we were on to the next one…. Its a good highlight for me in 2016.
I was all set to hear about a 3 hour trek through jam infested streets or subways to go 3 miles. Lol
You did your thing this year, look at you! Accomplishments all around the board. I wish you nothing but continued success as we enter 2017!
