About

jixi, jixi fox, multimedia

Hi! I’m Jixi “Jixi Fox” and it’s nice to meet you. I am a creative, poet, and writer from New York City. Writing poetry and storytelling is my passion. I have been writing since 2000 and have had WordPress Anniversaries since 2007. One of my joys in life was attending (4x) WordCamps in NYC, for which I have hosted, emceed, and volunteered.

There is nothing more exciting than encouraging, entertaining, or teaching through words and expression. It’s a joy to be able to see others be themselves, open up to the world, and share their truths and views.

My background is vast & diverse. As much as I would love to speak of all the accomplishments, I can say that my site is my best form of happiness, as is being in a community of creatives, artists, bloggers, writers, and musicians.

On the business side, I’ve been a creative multimedia consultant in New York City for over 15+ years. I specialize in branding, marketing, catalog/portfolio development, and web design and development for creatives, entrepreneurs, and small business owners.

Mr. Jixi, If you found out the world was ending and you had to escape to a Barron tropical island with only 3 people in the entire world (you can choose anyone) Who would you take with you?

And don’t say me because I do not want to be subjected to some ish like that, never ever.
I’ll pack you a flare gun and some bug spray though.

    “I’m nice like that” Ha!

Also anyone from the walking dead is off limits as well because I am saving all of them for my Posse if I have to escape to a Barron island.

Love how much of a relaxed personality you have,I can tell wherever you go you are the life of the party who makes everyone smile even if there dog “snuggle wuggle alopacus” just died.

That is a rare quality in a person indeed. Glad you stumbled across my blog,it’s only a week and a half old but I am working hard on new material everyday. Bear with me it will get better for sure.

Thanks for taking a look around on my blog and reading some of my amateur Poems and reviews.

    It is said that

‘The Eyes are the windows to the Soul’.

I believe that is true to some extent, but I would add

    ‘Poetry straight from the heart,
    creativity derived from inner vision,
expression of life through spontenaity and exuberance,
    joy in love and exciting responses from others;
all these things are also windows to the soul.’

This blog reveals the joy of one who finds excitement in expression and fulfillment in affecting the emotions and thoughts of others.

I will be stopping in regularly to have my mind stimulated and my thoughts expanded. Thanks for being you and having the courage and openness to express yourself.

Well…..there’s a lot of life here. From what I’ve seen on this blog, there seems to be something for most everyone, LOL!

It would…you heard of the song “Dumb It Down” by Lupe Fiasco? He did one of those…But a better title would be “Dumb America”….in which a great delivery of powerful lyrics would be headlines.

No, I’ll look it up. Do you mean make the headlines the lyrics to the songs? I thought rap songs rhymed.

Just finished your Being Experimental post and wanted to email you, but didn’t see a contact form or email address – so will post here and you are welcome to delete the comment once you read! 🙂

Wanted to offer a piece of (unsolicited) advice – as you’re working with your blog, may want to investigate some solutions for load speeds – sometimes, your site loads very slowly and I think with adding more videos, etc., it would be useful to add tools/edit images, etc., to aide in your load speed..
Sorry – previous website and database builder – I can’t help myself …functionality is my obsession – hope you forgive me for the unsolicited advice! 🙂

Oh heck no, you are welcome to post and drop tips to help me out :). I am in no way uptight about advice and so on, it’s all welcomed. I am also a website developer myself and I got 3 blogs, this one is the last to be updated and upgraded in which why I wrote this post. But I really appreciate your input and info.

It’s tough balancing all these blogs, via I am a multimedia manager for artists and models, so I spend most of my detail time on making sure they shine, so sometimes, my work takes a bit of time to shine as how I want it. I haven’t experienced the load speed problem, in which is odd via everything is ran through wordpress and the images are not big all all. I am actually getting back into doing custom images, in hi res, but tiny files sizes and bring more or a visual atmosphere here. So of course thats some work on my hands right there, but I gotta do what I got to do. Plus I think a few settings I have are not needy and too bulky in which I need to cut down. So I am working on it. Thanks again though for taking the time to write, and my email I believe is listed, but that too is something I should make very easy to find. 🙂

I’ve been known to not seek as long as I should to find! 🙂 – I almost didn’t mention, but, I so like your work and don’t like to wait one minute to see it!

Thanks for your gracious reply to my comment! 🙂

      2. Jixi Fox

Thanks so much. You really like my works? Awww 🙂

I try to reply all my comments once I am free. I think to be interactive and have conversations with others. I think it makes life fun and interesting. 🙂

I must Thank you, for stopping on by.

I, too – I learn so much through the exchange of comments.

I follow blogs that have become so popular, they simply cannot reply to all the comments – and say so – I hope not to become that popular – I like the dialogue with others too much..

        🙂

So Jixi, now its your turn to draw a compliment from me:P I really like the way you talk in third person. It reminds me of a Grey’s episode where a patient used to talk in third person and Izzie and Karev were continuously trying to mimic him. (For the Grey’s Lovers!!)

Rest I think you are truly a great entertainer because normally I quickly go through people’s about page but yours, indeed is so entertaining that I actually managed to read it till the end.
Keep up the good work! 😀

Very nice, descriptive bio. I love seeing others who have similar attributes as myself. We have a few things in common, such as having a weakness for cheesecake (I prefer amaretto cheesecake but any cheesecake weakens me); I’m also a Ludacris fan. Release Therapy will always be my favorite album; I also love to write; I’m a fan of the Kindle, I’m team iPhone, and I enjoy being entertained at Nuyourican Café – maybe one day I’ll mosey up from DC to catch you performing. Anyhow, nice write-up. Keep it up.
