WHEN I SAW YOU COMING

I didn’t know how to act,
Wanted so bad to stop you,
Without getting a bad rap,
So how do I get your attention?
I adapted a bit some innovation,
Wrote a poem on a scrap of paper,
With a rose,
Approached you,
With hello dear,
I never did this before,
But I wanted to show you something,
A beauty I caught in an instance,
You,
Walking into my life,
I wanted to give you this note,
And picked you this rose,
Hoping it’s something you will hold close,
Today, tomorrow and forever.
