my life is crashing like waves

lately i have been thinking
i have been confused as of late
whether to go ahead or wait
for the sake of peace
i was showing up late
for me
can my oasis
lack water
making it just a desert
or am i staying afloat
just because i built a pool
and a fountain of youth
to be refreshingly me
isolated but cool

life takes a toll
on the mind
and body
but the day we
accept more
while doing less
and say yes
to ourselves
life shifts
