ASSAY

Posted on February 22, 2018February 22, 2018 by Jixi Fox

ASSAY

ASSAY

I assay a small poetic rhyme,
Got shot down,
This girl said it wasn’t one of a kind,
She said drake did something similar,
I was blow away,
I said this thing here ridiculous,
So I wrote a new gem on the spot,
It went so well,
It brought me to the top,
Then it flopped,
Down I go falling over debris,
This is the last you will see of me.

COMPROMISE

Posted on February 19, 2018February 19, 2018 by Jixi Fox

COMPROMISE

COMPROMISE

compromise

I will not compromise my art,
No,
I will continue to develop my soul,
Yes,
For I want to be the best,
Now,
In the future become the best ever,
Yet,
Don’t shield my growth,
I came here to tower buildings and mountains,
So into the sky I will stay,
Far beyond anyone,
Outer space.

COURAGE

Posted on February 17, 2018February 17, 2018 by Jixi Fox

COURAGE

COURAGE

courage

I use to hide behind the wall,
Blocking my shine,
Now I have the courage to stand tall,
And be one of a kind,
Showing the people I fear nothing,
I am bold as can be,
I broke the chain,
And yea, the chain didn’t break me,
I showcased my talents,
I step on stage,
Now that chapter is over,
Time to flip to the next page…

RUBE

RUBE

rube

See me on the farm,
The day I was born,
I am in the city now,
Seemingly like a unicorn,
My life is somewhat changed,
I can’t do things the same,
I am learning new things,
Just a rube with a brain.

Hiding you from me,
Reverse psyche,

For don’t see you the same,
Something is blocking you from me,
I see you through scope,
So much aspect has changed,
For you to know me underneath,
You world would also change.

SUSPICIOUS

Posted on February 14, 2018February 14, 2018 by Jixi Fox

SUSPICIOUS

SUSPICIOUS

suspicious

I didn’t mind the creeping at first,
Now things having been getting worse,
Thought you were in your bag,
But you were in your purse,
Pulling out mace,
To spray the face,
Of a suspicious looking guy walking to close in my case,
What a pace,
You caught him cold,
Frozen as a stone.

LECTURE

Posted on February 13, 2018February 13, 2018 by Jixi Fox

LECTURE

LECTURE

lecture

Don’t lecture me kid,
I am in a higher class,
I am on another level,
That means I am dealing with higher math,
I have learned from the best,
Yes,
I call them my OG’s,
They put me on the game,
Since I was a poor G,
Trying to come up,
Trying to elevate,
Until I saw my chance,
Walked pass the gate,
So I stepped outside,
And saw my dreams running fast,
So I chased it,
And never stopped,
Until I do my finish line dance,
Touchdown on my goals,
Now I am on top.

CONJURE

Posted on February 12, 2018February 13, 2018 by Jixi Fox

CONJURE

CONJURE

conjure

I had to conjure up the past me,
Ancient, to appear before,
The panel of my new actions,
Then it asked me,
How have you grown,
I said up up and beyond,
I am at my truest form,
And I called you to show you,
What you what I have become.
