Recorded My First “Audio Drop” I Am Excited!

Today was a good day. I was able to rest, reset my mind and also organize my upcoming week’s priorities. It’s such a good feeling to get this rest and feeling today.

The only thing I regret was not getting up to go to this Members Only, event at a botanical garden I love and adore. I was looking forward to meeting new people and taking in the show and festivities. I need to do better, smh. I was looking forward to it for over 3 weeks, but my body was telling me no, as my mind was telling me yes, the body won today.

The biggest win of the weekend was recording my first unplanned Audio Drop, which will be dropped on my Patreon & Substack this week and then later reach my YouTube Channel. The audio drop is a series coming from me weekly as I drop gems of knowledge and commentary about life and things happening in society. I want to help and be a part of the conversation and community, so this is my new journey. I would appreciate the support and feedback.

Only Me

Inside of myself, sits a calm and reflective individual. A person who values time, life and experiences. Only I alone know how deep and true this is, because everyone tends to assume my reality.

So ask if concerned, I am sure I will tell. But until then, be the best you with the time you have.

*This post is just a note to self to remember to put one foot in front of the other as you walk. Own your reality, and as the world judges and create narrative you have never given, you are not what they say, as they don’t know within.

Trigger Warning | Poem | Free Verse

Warning! I am about to say something really uncomfortable.

If I let one off,
Am I wrong?
Causing people,
To sing songs,
Is free speech really free,
Comes at a cost,
Like a boss,
Continuing life,
We can’t pause,
Because life,
Will go on,
After the first second,
Then the next minute,
I hope you get it,
You can’t comment on life,
The world take a life,
Are we barred?
Can we let loose,
Can we make moves,
Where can we even go?
It’s only fleeing leaving the scene,
Without creating change,
Turning a new page,
It seems going ghost,
Is a trigger warning,
Leaving soon,
I just may not come back.

*Words hold so much power, but we are not free to use them, as others abuse them.

Obviously,
I want more,
But where to?
Going in a path,
I never dared to,
If I am the bluetooth device,
What am I paired to?
Disconnected from our real lives,
Something I never cared to,
So so,
Where to now,
What’s the goal?
Frozen in time,
Until I have broken ice,
Here goes my tears, hold,
Onwards and forward,
Into the distance of all possibilities,
The goal is to grab ahold of my reality.

How I feel today.

*Life seems to be on sale these days, with a hefty price tag. As we try to limit our consumption, we fight each day against algorithms, marketing, and advertising that wants us to fail and fall in bad habits, debts, control. How do we actually win? Can we? At what cost? We just want health care and to live!

Progress Being Made

After a week of trials, and they surely were trials to be dealt with. I won a few perspectives to guide me into the next week.

  1. Smile more and learn.
  2. The journey won’t be smooth at the beginning, but the result may be, start now.
  3. Talk to your family and friends and open up more on just life and living.

When it’s all said and done, I will be pleased.

Pulling Back

Wanting to go deeper, sometimes I feel going deep can be bad. Not wrong, but bad for who doesn’t have much to offer. Surface level, with a dose of small talk is where I meet most people. I will take a different approach on opening up for more reasons.

I don’t want to be the smartest in the room. I want to grow going through many different rooms. So keeping the door open is one of my key actions I use daily.

I guess I am craving deeper connections and actions than what’s given. It’s ideal I have to break the norms and my surroundings and grow outward. Work on changing my environment to use if I can find what I and truly looking for.
