OPEN MIC MONDAY – READY OR NOT | #OPENMIC
READY OR NOT
I wasn’t ready,
But I showed up,
I am ready to play,
Even though I am tired,
Even me a shot of b-12,
Now I am wired,
Ready or not,
I want to be ahead of the line,
Any mountain put in front of me,
I will climb,
For I want to see what’s on the other side,
So I dived in,
No backup plan,
Just victories,
Maybe some losses,
But when is the perfect time?
There are none,
Just you holding yourself back,
Ready or not,
Are you coming?
But I showed up,
I am ready to play,

Don’t throw shade,
Let it fade in,
I am on my guard,
No more playing,
If you got words,
Let them spray,
I keep my head on high,
I keep on escalating,

Should I stay or go,
Or say no?
Sometimes I don’t know,
But I should grow,
Know when to turn down offers,
Know when to turn up proper,
I got to get my kit right,
Hope it fits right,
It’s about time,
To handle my biz,
By saying no,
No freebies,
No slavery,
Put myself in the best situation,
To build a future,
My creation,
Did you hear me?
