late days
never thinking out loud
each word sheltered
a curated speech
of everything but
the truth shared
does anyone care
does the world need to know
but everyday
day to night
working on our goals
it’s feeds us breath
and air
so we Inhale
to exhale
only
if the dream is imagined
so we are filled
uncomfortable
until
the thing
no one knows
explodes
as we do
once it’s released

not alone
with company
not on the phone
quiet
peaceful
at ease
until
leaving the place
wishing
to return again

waking up beside you
not only do I feel you
being my little spoon
and sure i am the big
we laughed hard all night
i think i am missing a rib
you fascinate me
everything you have done and did
couple feet away in a crib
we created a kid
everyday
your body and warmth
to see you smile
every breath you take
i am happy you are mine

i feel good inside
and safe

piecing things together
felt a little bit strange
freedom is a journey
but I’m caught in a cage
trying to break free
but it’s hard
the courage i had
now gone

most days we run out of time
