To lead the way, I had to break norms, Kick in doors, And then found more doors, I didn’t like what I was seeing, Transformed, You didn’t call me, I wasn’t waiting, I am pretty sure, Each day I believe, I am on my knees, Praying, Almighty, For air to breathe, To carry me to higher lengths, To deliver a present, To the world, My gift, My everything, I believe much more than ever.
You ask me to show you, So I did, You ask me to turn around, So I can spin, My smile to make you feel better, I only remember cloudy days, When I couldn’t predict the weather, You showed me things, I found hard to decode, I think about them everyday, Mostly when I am alone, I am caught in your web, Holding tight on my body, I can not breathe, I tried running away, But you took my knees, So I can’t bend corners, I can’t jumped fences, You keep being my present and future, Instead of past tenses, Lost are my thoughts, As I struggle in the weeds, I have to make a change today, So I am deleting you, for me.
You Might As Well Miss Me With All That BS | Spoken Word
If you reading this line, you are are reading this right, these toxic traits for which were locked away, don’t rock this way, I am not here to carry you burdens.
I woke up today with a huge flamethrower to burn them, these 1st degree burns I am spraying you earned them. How are you going to do me like that? I thought we would make it to forever, but you knew it wasn’t like that. I felt attacked, so I am fighting right back.
This ain’t an act, I am feeling Michael Jackson I am moonwalking right back. Leaving all this pain your delivered, I reconsidered all the facts. Return to sender, I want my refund and all of the taxes paid. If life was an artist, I am would be Beyoncé how I came back and I slayed.
I said all of this to say I am moving forward, I am not moving back ways. That’s just my backside, sliding off the poop watching how I backslide out of that BS.
You move your bowels you are messy, so everything you are saying is waste, no taste, leave me alone, I turned my back on you, never will I about face.
May Day!
I have been writing a lot of new works lately. My inspiration has been bursting out the seams. I haven’t released them all, I just have been writing song after song after song. If you do a slow read, let me know how the words are hitting.
How is your writing and posting going lately? How are you feeling with your direction?
If you liked this post, please like, comment, and share. (Thanks!)
The tree of doubt does grow, without water or soil. Just because we convince ourselves it’s there it appears. But as easy as it appears, it’s much harder to let it go. So, we have to sharpen our will power to let it know it can’t stay here no more, and has to go. When you let it loose, the things that holds you down, you can be free to see the things that should be happening happen.
I want everyone to glow in happiness and love, and a purpose, so let go of the weight that carry us down and stop our movement forward and up.
Stay the course and run the race, in the end, you will be left in a better case.
This poem ends the April’s National Poetry Writing Month. I am excited and loved I was able to jump in like I did years ago and release some good 8 lines a day poems. I had a great time reading others blogs and writing. People have so much to say lately and happy to read, learn and relate.
Life is such a joy, I deploy down different avenues, To stay the same, Is going insane, I choose what I truly want to do, Like take flights and chill, Or eat sandwiches while paying bills, Things hit differently, But vicariously, People live through me, That’s why I can’t stop telling stories, For everyday away, Feels like I left the world neglected, Like days upon days, So I say to you, Even if don’t get to you early, I will will get you at the closing of the day.
I spent a long time chasing to be free, The only place I knew of being, Was being me, I have been tired, And been tired more of lying, That inside of me, Was slowing dying, Drying off, After I got rained on, I found a day, To stick my name on, I fought hard, And ran myself, Into the ground, To finally have the pride, To wear the damn crown.
You can’t swag, I am mad, Because, People tend to copy brands, Before it was pop, There was a meaning, Thrown on a hook, Create a book, Now everyone, Feel they made it.
I am entirely tired of liars, The outliers should be held to the sky, Like simba, For they will one day be king, But they are subtracted from the equation, Before the crown was placed, This is an ode to the slain warriors of cause.
Tiny parts of my day, Visits at night, When my thoughts, Are relaxed, When I think things, Are alright, A glimpse, A vision, Are expressed, Woke up, Don’t remember, Where I went, Was it a dream? Or nightmare.
