Famous Person I Met on The Street

When in New York City you can run into almost anyone. For me, on this given day, while working a delivery job, which was my favorite job ever, not counting working for myself, which is the absolute best I ran into one my favorite film directors. Yes, on the busy streets I was doing a delivery into an apartment building, Spike Lee, was passing in a car, stopped in the middle of the street to ask me a couple questions. I was caught off guard, not to say I would have forced quickly pulling out my phone to trying to get a picture, which would have been cool, but I played it pretty cool.

I answered his questions, while like thinking to myself, oh snap it’s Spike Lee, how crazy is this. Not I have a mini story about my one of favorite film directors.

NATIONAL CINEMA DAY

Not sure if I have ever celebrated this day, but I am today. I am big fan of cinema and film, and naturally when I heard of it this year, I felt I must part take. I hope to catch this a good seat, see a new film and be in the moment.

In my years, I have found going to see movies on the big screen a privilege and much excitement. Mostly this was due by, the first time you usually see a new film, it was in the theater first. But of course, now there is streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney, HBO and more.

I caught my first film and documentary on the small screen today, but there is nothing like the big screen.

In life we need more wins.
So I found a few wins and inspiration to share with you.

Movies are my inspiration… I am a big movies fan. I love a great tv show as well. I can’t lie, I watch like every single streaming platform. Whether it’s Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, Apple+, Amazon Prime Video, Disney, and a couple others, I watch it all.

I see you laughing but I only see tears,
Don’t this seem awkward, or a tad bit weird,
That you judge me on my style and all my beliefs,
But in a while I will pop my top and then we got beef,

I am relief at it all, I have grown quite tall and fond,
I found love and a passion in life in which I now have a bond,
So when you see me in the streets, tv or just out to play,
I hope you ready for what I got because you see it all, and I got nothing to say.

I poke fun at kids, rude as they is,
They need some schooling, that’s why they gon get this work,
I burst their bubble, I keeps it real,
I am building an army of soldiers in the world we do battle,

I flip words, scrabble, I stalk girls, hassle,
I live a life I ain’t to happy about, but I still get through,
I give these clues of ways I degrade myself, shameless,
Bullets of hate come my way, but I duck them like the matrix.
