You said I would never make it,
But I did, thanks a lot for your encouragement,

You said I would never pass the test,
But I passed with flying colors, in your face,

You said my relationship would never last,
But it’s been 20 years and climbing while being seamless,

You said my passions in life will never come true,
But I am living my passion every day and I am happy for it,

So at the end of the day I look at you in confusion and recite,
