Don’t throw shade,
Let it fade in,
I am on my guard,
No more playing,
If you got words,
Let them spray,
I keep my head on high,
I keep on escalating,
I see the competition is fierce,
But I have no fear,
I just speak the truth,
Nod if you know if you hear,
I throw no shade,
I promote positive energy,
If you negative,
Too late for you,
You are simply my enemy.

why do you laugh at me

Why do you laugh at me?
Does it make you happy?
Do it please you to make me feel crappy?
I just don’t know what is happening,
Do it make you feel cool,
Is it because I am rapping?
And you think I just may fail,
Locked in a jail,
Can’t post bail,
Or maybe you think I am funny,
Trying to make a living off of laughs,
Maybe you are encouraging me to go further,
Get on stage and make a splash,
Well it will happen,
I have high hopes,
I make smiles out of frowns,
If ever you need a pick me up,
I will hold you down.

It’s a mixture I like,
If it all fits,
Does she like me?
I wish she did,
Or does,
I got a buzz,
And she likes it,
All I know,
She is sexy,
Smart and cute,
Glasses and all,
Everything I would want,
So I say nice things,
Excited by my words,
Hoping that they hit,
And fit in just nice,
To make her smile,
That’s all I wanted.

Should I stay or go,
Or say no?
Sometimes I don’t know,
But I should grow,
Know when to turn down offers,
Know when to turn up proper,
I got to get my kit right,
Hope it fits right,
It’s about time,
To handle my biz,
By saying no,
No freebies,
No slavery,
Put myself in the best situation,
To build a future,

So,

trouble up ahead

It wasn’t until I was left behind,
For me to know what’s best,
I don’t have to be number one,
I could settle for being second,
I use to think only the best were first,
Until I saw what happen to the best,
Risk is definitely a factor,
But not if your life also is,
So as they accelerate,
I slow down, lay back low key,
You can win and paralyze yourself,
I will fall back and take a knee,
I am good,
I will get to where I am going in due time.
