Trigger Warning | Poem | Free Verse

Warning! I am about to say something really uncomfortable.

If I let one off,
Am I wrong?
Causing people,
To sing songs,
Is free speech really free,
Comes at a cost,
Like a boss,
Continuing life,
We can’t pause,
Because life,
Will go on,
After the first second,
Then the next minute,
I hope you get it,
You can’t comment on life,
The world take a life,
Are we barred?
Can we let loose,
Can we make moves,
Where can we even go?
It’s only fleeing leaving the scene,
Without creating change,
Turning a new page,
It seems going ghost,
Is a trigger warning,
Leaving soon,
I just may not come back.

*Words hold so much power, but we are not free to use them, as others abuse them.
