pencil me in
better yet pencil your friend
count them on one hand
start over and count again
people leaving and crashing out
dang who used the eraser
give it to them hard not soft
no chaser
i show up and go
as they call out
you know
who was there for the practice
if you got a real friend in life
tag this
tag them
that’s your man’s
that’s your girlfriend
not many day ones
are ready for the long walk
they about that action
not all talk
pencil them in
better yet
use a pen
permanent
