What’s the best way to explore a new city?
Getting lost is the best. But, also to explore a new city, I recommend doing a city tour or get a guide that hits most places or the hot spots. They usually have stories and insights about the people and the places.
I like to mix it up. I will find the urban spots and rural spots. I try to find the hole in the wall or small business and just ask questions. I love to get the map of the transit system and ask where are 4 must places I should go and why.
If anyone was coming to New York City, I literally have an entire map of places and things to do to give you the true essence of New York.
