shortly i escaped the path
never written for me
i move mountains
that was set before me
the struggle ended
but it’s not to end of my story
i am living the life

for i am who they came to see
people show up early to wait on me
as i walk in
i see the envy in their eyes
once in a while
i show up extra late
in style

less stress

been in a zone
no more to say
word loss
caution
look out for the cone

missing even a dose
is too much alone

invited
so i showed up
but you know what
i can’t go
unless my plus one can
that’s my person
we like to dance
i have done the math
if you invited one
then it’s really have two
so before you mess up the count
i only come
when there is a plus one

eyes closed but wide open
fail to regenerate
life has hold
it hard to free one’s self
reaching out
like a hand out of water
while drowning
i can’t function
my capacity is capped
but i proceed
to find time
i could have never got back

longing for passion
and exclusivity
i did the work
and created unity
all i wanted was you
but all i received were clues
to a puzzle
i didn’t know i was building
i gave up my time
i committed my energy
i was present
you were my priority
but for me to live
you have to die
for me to smile
you have to cry
i am telling the truth
no need to lie
i am deleting you
