Weight of Expectations

Some days I will to levitate,

But I appreciate my wisdom,

My experiences opens pockets,

I never knew were options to act on,

Every compliment is a contract,

Every praise is a debt,

They say “You got this man”

While piling more “this” on top,

Overflowing,

Sometimes success,

Feels like a trap,

Built out of good intentions,

You just can take back,

What was already created.

“Everyone thinks I’m okay, but…”

I am really just me, I found a method to the madness of the world, and I chose me. I figured out my needs, wants and cravings, and I measure my attitude, patience, discipline and happiness against them and found a path. Everything an obstacle or conflict presents itself I apply the path finder to align myself. If a path is not found or wasn’t ever created, it give myself the grave to admit I don’t know how to maneuver myself and I work on pacing myself to the right path and document the journey to later have a path set for the specific and similar conflict.

Doing all that leaves me less stress, sleep better and I kind a humble smile and happiness for just having life on my face.

Quiet Collapse

Some falls make noise,

Mine don’t,

I’ve mastered the art,

Of drowning in silence,

So no one thinks I need saving,

Because they feel I rich,

I don’t know who they said,

Because life is bish,

Strength isn’t loud,

It’s the quiet refusal to disappear,

So hold on.

Breaking Point

There’s a moment,

Where patience becomes fire,

Where silence becomes danger,

Where the smallest nudge,

Becomes the final straw,

And you go from,

“I’m fine, I’m good, I’m alright”,

To next level activated “Super Saiyan”,

Pressure Points

When the world thinks you’re built for it.

They hand you storms,

Because you walk around creating thunder,

Every sigh is a secret earthquake. (I felt that!)

Every step and the ground quakes.

Some nights you don’t break…

You bend the universe,

Just to keep yourself breathing.

Living Life Higher Than A Jet2 Holiday

Decided to take off to new heights,

Like one of the jet2 holiday,

Used to cry tears because these jobs don’t pay,

Now I am high off life and I wipe those tears away,

Keeping my life from being in shambles,

Got my drawers down to the ankles,

Taking shots with my old clothes to the hamper,

Just to feel new,

Hopped in the shower full of steam,

To feel so fresh and so clean,

Just know I ain’t trying to be you.

Risking It All To Be A Legend In Her Group Chat #poetry #stories

She been waiting a long time,

A real long time,

For someone real,

She giggles and laughs at her past,

On other days she makes tik toks & reels,

Her group chat is on fire,

Blasting all the guys in her life,

Then somehow she met you,

Now you want to be the best new guy,

With a nice hair doo,

It doesnt matter what you do ,

You will easily fail,

You are placed against unrealistic expectations,

It almost feels like you’re a in jail,

Just because you are male,

You plan dates check,

You pay checks check,

You get paychecks check,

You as not a lame check,

There is a degree to had to be the one,

But the heat in the group chat is too hot to be the one,

😔🤷🏽‍♂️🤫: Somewhere in the world there are new souls that enters the group chat. Getting ripped from limb to limb, being evaluated to see if they are the righteous one to commit sins with. Whether it’s the boys or the girls, it’s the proving ground, even though heart lies, and people cry, when they want the one, that told you can’t have.

Trust in yourself! Seeking validation will block blessings, but also don’t be foolish. You can’t win it all the time, losses are lessons for next time.

Leave me sane,

Tapped into my real life,

I am in and out of the game,

Moving fast they can’t catch me,

I went too far they had to fetch me,

Who knew I knew kung fu,

Fighting my demon karate chops like 1,2,

Selective memory so I forgot your name,

You failed to get healed as I increase the pain.

Each day so sinful and lustful,

How can I trust you,

Each and every time I reach my peak,

I explode into more of your mystic,

I creep slowly,

Strolling your page,

Wish for a chance,

To simple engage,

For a sale or a deal,

It doesn’t matter the appeal,

Trying hard and every measures,

To not expose my guilt pleasures.
