Welcome back to Season two of my WTF series. This is intro before we kick off the season 2 return next week. We are also bringing the series to an audio and video site.
Who created the box that you live in, Are you truly alive or just blinking, Are you ready to break free, I am talking about everybody, Not just me, I flee, My mind run astray, Sometimes I want to go out, And just play, Slay those thoughts, That were given to me, So I can call the shots, Now everyone waiting on me, So I say, If you truly trying break out, You can always figure way.

Tires screamin’ like they got a death wish, Red and blue lights flashin’ like a DJ setlist. Sirens singing my name like I signed a deal, But I ain’t pulling over I just like the thrill, Foot heavy like my sins, my engine talking back, Car making screeching sounds like it’s caught in a trap, I did the math, the further I go the more time I got to do, I can’t stop, I won’t stop, there is no time for curfew,
I ain’t no criminal, I just love to escape, Road stretch long like the years in my case. The highway my canvas, my whip is the brush, Painting my freedom with tire marks and dust, I hit the clutch, shifting gears, People crying cuz I am ill, Tell them wipe their tears, I split traffic like Moses, I am feeling rich, Running from the law like I am dodging a glitch, They radio for backup, I radio to God, Praying how I am driving stay defying the odds. Skyline glowing’, my future unclear, But freedom looks fire in the rearview mirror.
The Story
Everyday I feel like I am in a high speed chase, ducking the cars, let me car fly over 100. Whether in the car or just walking, as long as I have music, I feel my mind is moving 1000 miles an hour.

I wasn’t a believer at first, But became well versed, When I escaped a path that was good, But certainly got worse, It felt like a curse, Living the life of bad mind, And the rat race, Working a 9-5, On full throttle, With no brakes,
These garbage ass distractions, The corrupted manipulation, More than just mere occasions, It’s everywhere, The world forcing us, To give in, Everyday, Day in and day out, Clouding our judgment, And worth, Birthing new norms, We never consented on,
Until we rip up these contracts, Being high off a little bit of contact, Of how freedom feels, Reading a book, Going for walks, Have real talks, With people that’s not mean, Paying off debts, Cashing higher checks, Investing into our dreams, Seeing a new baby laugh, Family dinners well planned, Is more reality than a dream,
How to believe is seeing the end goal, To believe is going tunnel vision, To the end zone, Touchdown, The essence of feeling free, You got to believe, Put the work in, Don’t stop, Until what they selling stay fake, But out of your face, All you see is what’s real, You happy, In control, With Memories, To celebrate with your team.
Believe, believe, and believe! You can be free and will be.
*Note: This poem was written as a straight free write. It came out exactly as expected. I love the message, and the delivery. I hope it inspires someone today. As I celebrate my annual freedom day, I am super proud of this piece.

There is no way, You did that, Took my heart, You took that, I wanted it back, But I look back, And see you, Love me, Just keep my heart, And I will keep yours.

She has a nice voice; I just can’t resist. I think get her out of my mind, especially her lips. I could dip and dive, but she is sorta of shy, I am the guy to get her to where she wants to, without her asking why.

Her essence has me wide open, With every word that was spoken, Wanting to be inside real bad, She told me I needed a token, Only the one she can give, A special token that makes a heart, filled, Ready to accept a thrill, But still knows how to be delicate, Even the sweet melody of her laugh, Makes missing a day feel like a year lost, Appreciating every moment, Every special occasion, I must press pause, And cherish time, Frozen looking at her.

Mayday, it’s going down; the plan ain’t working; you need to abort the mission. There is a collision of time and rhyme, and what I have found is the reason why, I just don’t mess with you.

Left the house late for a date, I said meet me at the gym, My pull-up game was awesome, But I didn’t a have spotter, So I got small-talked by the guy that can’t talk, I walked by the woman that can’t walk, Either way she was gaining reps, She is never off beat or missed a step, Wet is how I wanted to be, Dripping in sweat, Yea, I didn’t say I was going to taste good, Booked a class, Paid for a ticket for a guest, But I was guest-less, I suggest to my angry self, To hide when that call comes in, Hey are you headed to the gym, But my devilish side kicked in, With a grin, For the very moment, Answer the call and say, Each day you remind me, Of why I don’t mess with you, You are lame, always late, Always wants a ride, But never ready at the gate, So fate, told me to delete your number, And maybe switch phones, If you can’t hear anything I say after this, Just know, dead ass! dial tone.

There are so many ways to gain fame, you can beg, give, or train. The brain is a powerful tool to use, so it’s like the glue it’s sticks onto things that you want it to.
So whether you looking for the cash in the stash to bathe in it like a bath, know the math. Do you want to be known for positives or negative reach quickly reaches the massive?

On the way to fame and fortune, I am aborting anything in my way, I can’t say I came to sing and dance, But I definitely didn’t come here to play, They say slay, only model types on the runway, They say pray, everyone is on their knee ready to say, Please and thank you, to see another day, Anything to get to my dreams, Let all the nightmares go away.

On the eve of hitting 900 days of posting on my blog, I celebrate with this free verse poem for the night. I had a great conversation with my friend James that inspired this poem. Based on our talk about life and being our authentic selves, the words just flowed through me on the way to pick up sushi to eat and enjoy anime night at home. I hope you can enjoy and catch some of the amazing metaphors and witty lines.
Free Verse Poem: How To Be A Boss
I am catching misdemeanor charges, For corrupting all the bosses, Tallying up all the wins, While deducting all the losses, Hitting play after all the pauses, New York City stay be, freaking awesome.
People be wilding out, For the salads they be tossing, It causes a ruckus, Like wild and crazy kids, let loose on recess.
But still, we stay ready, Stacked and prepped like late-night pizza orders, Carving dreams from concrete, crossing invisible borders. And if the noise gets loud, Watch your mouth, I can get petty, Close your eyes, Having you drift off to sleep, Right beside your Teddy.
We’re the heartbeat of chaos, the rhythm of the grind, Breaking rules to find truths others left behind. No city compares, no space feels this electric, We’re the charge in the storm, unapologetically kinetic.
