There are a few books that changed my life.

The One Minute Manager – Ken Blanchard

I Will Teach You To Be Rich – Ramit Sethi

In my management career, The One Minute Manager was a game changer. Talking, setting expectations, following up and execution in the most simplest processes, this book was the best I have ever read. I still to the day recommend to everyone trying to take control of their careers.

I Will Teach You To Be Rich, taught me about my rich life and how to treat and enjoy money. Before I use to save and listen to these ancient talks on money. This book changed my life in the highest degree and financial literacy.

The most memorable thing I was given was life. The opportunity of life is a gift. I know it sounds so cheesy, its the easy win. But it is all true. GOD has blessed me with such a gift. This prompt is beautiful.

How far back in your family tree can you go?

This is such a good question. I definitely love this. I always wanted to know more of my family history. I think the furthest I know of it my great grandmother on my mother’s side of the family. Coming from where I come from, information don’t seem to be the same and hard to find. But I guess trying one of those services to see how far it stems.

But I truly believe in building a tree now of who I know now and just etch an outline of my true family as of 2023. Time moves on and things changes. We need to be in the now and create for the future.

Rainy days amaze me,
Especially when I am lazy,
My vision is kind of hazy,
On this day nothing in life phase me,

Each day I want to play play play,
I scream out yea when I see rain rain rain,
I do it live it’s not a game game game,
The rain makes me relax and sane sane sane.

I guess I wrote a poem or a lyric. When ode to the rain. 🙂

Why do you write?

I write to be free. I write to engage. I write to learn. I write to dream. The words that flew or fly off the pages or on screen, is my way to showcase my talents and my stories. I love seeing the words, the action, the nouns, the verbs, the amazing feeling of satisfaction.

I write poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and spoken word. I have my favorite words, I have my style of writing. There are series of posts and writings I create each year. I work hard to try to spread the love of writing with others.

Words, writings and books are vital to life and the world.

So I am happy people write and contribute to the world.

Keep on writing.

What brings you joy in life?

For me it’s all about the simple things. A baby laughing, a nice sunshine, drinking absolutely the best tasting water alive #SmartWater, if you are smart you would understand, lol. Actually that was a joke. But I enjoy a cold bottle of smartwater on a hot day, but the waterway or lake, as sunset pours down, with some soothing music plays from my speaker. I also prefer silences and a good book or good company.

I have many ways I experience joy in life. I have been enjoying more quality time with my brother as of late, and it’s been a blast to have great conversations with him. My joy of tv shows and a good series and character arc also fills my soul.

The list goes on and on with my joy. But to sum it up, family, relaxing zen moments, mixed with good food, especially great tasting water, brings me joy in my life.

What is a treasure that’s been lost?

A treasure that has been lost is our innocence. They the moment of purity, as we enter the world, we start to build our memories. We meet the good and the bad, we create our universe. We meet society at the doorsteps, and start to realize where we want to go, and stay where can’t escape from and much more.

A lost treasure for me was a necklace my best friend’s mother bought for me. It was a chain with a soccer ball on it. It was such a lovely gift and very personable. I love this woman, her name is Sharon. Just an amazing woman.

Either way the chain had popped sometime ago, and the tried the save the pendant, and to put on another necklace, but it end up being lost. I love that pendant. It was one of my treasures.

What is the earliest memory you have?

Earliest memory wow, that’s a great topic. I remember life as a kid in Jamaica, where life was so simple. I can’t say I can remember the exact age, but luckily my mother through photos caught my life growing up, so memories were able to flow better.

I remember having a stuff smurf teddy, and walking around the house. Jumping on the bed wild and crazy, to do drops like in wrestling on tv. I remember watching entirely way too much looney tunes. That was like my favorite pastime.

Listening to music and not understand what the hell was playing, but knew enough how to press play and flip a cassette in the stereo. I remember the alley ways for which neighbors and family use to come by and say hi to my parents and always excited to see me, the shy guy in the neighborhood.

This a good memory to remember for me, back in the days.
