In the middle,
Trying to make it through,
Hump day,
Get out my face,
I ain’t in the mood,
Days to go til the weekend,
Broke until friday,
Got no money to spend…

Grinding your teeth
Looking at me
Wanting that beef
Are you crazy?
Lazily I spit words,
In your face,
Break our homie,
Don’t make me repeat,
Break!!!
About to feed you,
With a value meal of fists,
Flying like bullets,
When I pull it,
These triggers inspire mirrors
But you can’t see the signs,
You just an old car,
On the highway,
You are far behind of mine,
But it you still want beef,
Okay, then pull up…

Boldly I stood up,
Kept my head up,
Couldn’t bleed tears,
All my fears had dried up,
Hopefully in every step,
My passions are steady kept,
My talents never second guessed,
I am making it happen,
In time you will see.

Where must I go to find you,
What must I do to get inside,
For what’s on my mind,
I can climb anywhere,
And reach anything,
For it is within,
My grasp,
Just tell me where.

So much life I was given,
I am thankful,
I often pause and think,
I am blessed,
I may not have everything,
But I am thankful for everything,
I am thankful for waking each morning,
I am thankful for the sky,
I am thankful for dirty dishes,
For I was able to eat a meal and dine,
I am thankful for my mother,
The loveliest lady alive,
I am thankful for the writers in the world,
For through their works,
I was able to build my smarts up high,
There are so many things to be thankful for,
And honestly I am thankful for them all,
I just want to give back to the world,
As a big thank you, most of all…

My heart melted,
I woke up in a cold sweat,
The temperature has risen,
Cold hearted vs the warmest,
Thoughts and love I had,
Now gone,
Wish I had saved the home,
We built,
But as I arrived after a long day of work,
Unexpected,
I saw the for sale sign,
On the lawn,
I keep having hot flashes,
Seeing things I just don’t believe,
But they are real,
The love has passed away,
I feel so broken down,
On my knees at it’s grave,
I can’t deal.

I need peace inside,
This is probably the shortest poem I will write,
To sit still and vegetate,
Lay back and meditate,
No hesitation of chili,
Calm, collected, real…
