The most read books for me, was probably Dr. Seuss, “Are You My Mother”, I bet you see that coming huh? Well it’s most likely true. But there is two books I read the most than others, “The One Minute Manager” and “I Will Teach You How To Be Rich”. These two books are my legacy books and recommend to anyone.
If you are trying to create a rich life and be your own person, I strongly recommend these books. Added fact, they are also best sellers. I will only talk about books of value.
Last book that I want to add to this topic is “Atomic Habits”. I can tell you this these book will change your life in ways of discipline and appreciation for processes and what you truly want out of life.
I am, I am, screaming from the mountain top. I love to learn, read and write. Learning has been a vital tool and habit in life, that it has created ease and beauty in my life. For the investment of time to learn new topics, important topics, and proper research saved me from many conflicts.
People tend to overthink learning as just going to school or following a program. Learning is so much more than that. Imagine willing learning all the gaps you were never taught. Being able to understand hard to do activities or concepts. Think about all the articles and YouTube videos that exist with just a search.
What’s one habit that has improved your life the most?
A habit that has improved my life drastically is combination of discipline and commitment understanding how I feel in the moment and how I treat people whether I am having a good day or bad day. The human side of stay consistent being open and adding empathy to situations brought so much blessings.
Each decision I make tends to be more memorable. I care about my actions and how it affects others, but better than that if it’s truly me and my values.
When those are aligned, the world has controllable moments, outside of what GOD has already handled for me.
What’s a chapter of your life you’d title “The Hard Years” — and what got you through it?
Well I think I am living it now. The chapter is called “Ummm Now, So This Is Whats Happening”. I am pretty sure there was another time where it truly some hard years, but I am a fairly optimistic person. I am not the person to stay down long. If I am able to control the control-ables, I am usually in an okay spot.
In time, things will pass. Also being an active participant in the “now” also churns better outcomes. They won’t always be perfect, but you will get on by.
I remember the hard years were my teenage years. There was so much uncertainty and fear there. I am pretty sure it was filled with anxiety as well. Music, movies and sports kept me going. Music mainly was the driving force because there was a song for every emotion or feeling.
My college years, near the Recession 2008 was hard too. Years of college debt, low end jobs, unable to run away from family problems, again being active, having many passions, writing and music again was my saving grace to get me through.
I think I need to write music a thank you letter one of these days.
Hmmm the villain arc. To be a good villain that people love and have a purpose is pretty cool. I mean the evil doing is no good, but to think differently and have a pov, makes them kick ass.
I would almost say Thanos and Magento. They had some points but misguided a bit. In the world there is good and evil. In order for one to exist the other has to. A perfect world or society has never been archived on earth.
The mind and philosophy has stretched the world more over.
Thanos for the sense to trying to even out the world. As all bad goes, a few good leaves as well. Terrible trade off, but nothing is ideal.
Magento, hurt against people being different should not happen and they need to be protected. But not to hurt people back or innocent people in the end as the result is not a good trade off. And yes I know he was protecting mutants, I am talking from a higher point.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could, if I really could live anywhere in the world, I would live in either Japan or Switzerland. I know I have never been, hoping to visit soon or make new friends who lives there. Through words and conversations, I truly can imagine life in a new environment.
I am pretty sure I can do anywhere in the caribbean, but I feel a person like me would shine in those countries.
I need to find some international friends for sure. Do people still do pen pals or international chat rooms where people can exchange conversation getting to know new cultures and people?
If you are reading this and know any resources I can use, shoot me a comment or message.
Honorable mention, I would live in Canada also as maybe my 3rd choice. Let’s see what life brings.
Chaos is wild to ask for, but I feel it’s inescapable. One day it will, you may not be ready, but how you act in the moment is telling. I have been through my fair share of chaos, and I felt it built me to be a better person, and professional as some of the chaos happened at work.
So I can say a dose of it is good to the right person or as a lesson if you learn and grow from it. The only time it’s not good, when things are more tragic than a chaos that can be fixed, I am just saying.
What’s a lesson you’ve learned recently that shifted your perspective?
The issues on mental health and freedom to change. Many people do not have capacity to change by themselves. So tell them how to be or how to change is not an easy thing. I learned so much more patience and empathy than I had before.
To all that have an issue they are working on, please be kind to yourself.
