HIGHS AND LOWS

Life ain’t a bed of rose,
I tried to do the best I can,
Because I chose,
To raise up,
So close to the bottom,
My feet’s stuck,
The ambition I have,
Is called trust your real gut,
I have to dig myself out the mud,
Working too hard or catch some mean luck,
I am trying to get to a new high,
The lows dont seem so bad,
Because I feel like a new guy,
Dressing way too fly,
Soaring way too high,
I am in a new sky,
I Ain’t worrying about losing,
Until the noose is tied,
Trying to bring me down,
Take off my crown,
Life is a cycle,
Just a bunch of wild ups and downs.

About This Series:

Spoken Word Thursday is a series I have been doing for years, bringing the real and important topics to life. I still have the style to produced the works in poetry, lyrics and storytelling in an artistic way. Either in the form of writtens, poetry reading, poetry slam, slam poetry, and of course spoken word, creativity & originality will always be the core.
As a creative writer, I write about anything, as my inspiration list is almost infinite. There is nothing like connecting with people, while learning and sharing art & style.

MADE MY MIND UP

I am loud as ever,
Don’t ask me to shut up,
I have the mission locked in,
Don’t let me pop up,
I am about to be a beast,
You want me locked up,
I exist,
Never down,
I have the top up,
Off the roof,
New whip on the streets,
Speeding,
You can’t see me with my words,
Continue reading,
I am ahead of the game,
I am already leading,
You hungry,
I am fed,
I been already eating,
Pop in on my zoom,
It’s that kind of meeting,
You know I am hot,
I been on the stove,
Forever heating.

SPOKEN WORD THURSDAY: BUILD YOU UP

I will build you up,
But I will never break you,
I am will be here by your side,
I will never forsake you,
I will support and cheer you,
I will never bad mouth or hate you,
That’s the reason why I kind of want to date you,
Well not kind of,
I do,
I want to see it through,
I want to call you my boo,
I want to experience picnics,
Looking up at skies so blue,
It’s true,
Wifey in front of my eyes,
It’s not surprise,
We going to mess around and end having a child,
It wont be so wild,
If we have a few,
They will be loved, fed, happy,
When we send them to school,
Of course our friends can come through,
You got to have babysitters on deck,
We got to grind each day collecting these checks,
Invest, be our very best,
Happiness and Love can go hand in hand,
I be so happy when you rocking your wedding band,
I am like oh man,
How could a guy like me be so lucky,
It’s not about me,
But us,
With trust,
Following our gut,
There is two,
Me and you,
Everything follows,
We doing things the way we want to,
So, let’s just start…with us, together, building each other up. 🙂
