as an expression
nothing happening
laid there
wasting time
planting mines
troubling times
no mountains climbed
just laid there
waste man
yes
direct shot
don’t second guess
literally just laid there
doing nothing
so nothing got done
but we mad though
super mad
as you watched them
as they laid there

the cost of doing everything right

breaking backs
over facts
the achievement
is just a mere flex
they don’t see the struggle
they see you as humble
as you trying to make bank
facts or fiction
which edition
are they truly rolling with
they took him too early
he just came out
barely even knew the kid
there was no way out
to reach the win
they wait for you to fall
strongest on the team
at your loneliness
no one calls

slowly deleting distractions

held beyond my means
stranded
i strained my pad
with my pain
every drop of blood
and tear drops
filled in my mood
i thought i exposed myself
i wore nude
moments expressed
are deeper than the skin
within is where i found the light
to let go
of what held me
turn off
dim them
as they go dark

i felt broken
didn’t know how to
approach and confront
i don’t think she knows
we started to talk
i am not sure where we left off
i went off
never came back
the hurt
the deceit
