Do you see yourself as a leader?
In short yes I do. I have coached, taught, motivated, and influenced teams of 45 to 150 persons at any given time throughout my career. I love to lead people to the results they are looking forward to.
Leadership is difficult and it’s an acquired skill set. I can say there are maybe 4 things that helped me become a strong leader.
- knowledge and experience
- discipline & respect & listening
- accountability & leading by example
- try it, be okay with the unknown and no be afraid of making mistakes
Learning and growing are key elements with leadership. As you improve, and as you work with your team it will grow. Your team puts trust in you, and faith and they also want the same goals, and if they don’t, well it’s a coaching, listening or decision making time.
It’s important to make that tough call.
