When you wear that sexy lingerie I like,
And lay in my arms to sleep at night,
I Love You.

When you come home late at nights from clubbing,
Thinking my voice won’t be in your ears buzzing,
I Love You Not.

When help me out with the bills, it’s not only me, it’s us,
For we are committed , we bond together perfect as fixture no fuss,
I Love You.

When you play videogames all day and don’t take out the trash,
And no compliments from you, to my friends I can’t even brag,
I Love You Not.

For all the beautiful flowers that you bring,
And the poetry you write and melodies you sing,

When you are insecure and lash out at the simplest things,
Paying attention to my all flaws, hiding yours, every fight you want to win,
I Love You Not.

For all my secrets with you I can trust,
There is no life without you, You help create us,

For not having the ambitions to go far,
Not believing in yourself it breaks my heart,

Spitting the illest verses, lurking in the underground,
Waiting on our time and for other eyes to see how we put it down,
Giving the world content with many sick deliveries,
Put a crown on our heads because we are what a king should be,
Call us the underground kings blazing up your local open mics,
With an appetite and hunger to get our voice heard just right,
We do it in the subways, street, bedroom, morning, day and night,
We can’t be controlled, we use our creativity to express our right,
Of free speech and expressions, to show our feelings, relate to others and dealing,
With life trying to fight against the societies norm mainstream disgusting feedings,
We are us, on the mission to keep it raw, edgy and real, even without a record deal,
The words we produce is what we feed off of, everyday we create meals,
Some of the greatest who had made it are now gone but still they are remembered,
A new generation is emerging, trying hard to earn their recognition with their diverse attributes,
So we ask who is the illest lyricist year after year,
My answer is simply the person doing it for the passion and love,
Trying to develop their voice to be heard year after year, without no fear,
To be the illest lyricists giving you what you need to hear, open your ears.

(*Note (back story)): There is always a debate on who is the dopest or illest rapper or lyricist, but the answer is always sometimes new year after year based on what people think.  But think of it as this, the person who is consistent known or unknown is the illest lyricist, but are you actually listening for that person?

We all can’t be happy every day of the year,
We can’t please everybody or easily over come our fears,
All that yapping and ringing echoing in my ears,
My shorty mad at me but the reasons aren’t always clear,
All the good times we had can overcome the bad,
We fight sometimes, but it’s healthy and normal to be mad,
It’s how we get better together that really shows what we have,
But dang it makes me sad when my love, my shorty is mad again.
We do things to each other that get on each other’s nerves,
We say things we really don’t mean, even low balling in which we don’t deserve,
Just to prove a point for a moment or to touch base with our emotions,
Loud yells and fighting screams, even the silent treatment equals a commotion,
I just want normal days, happy thoughts and a good laugh,
Creating memories of new experiences, leading to brand new paths,
I can’t do all these things when my shorty stay tripping and is mad,
Lord o Lord, why does my shorty got to be like that,
I wish I could ease her mind with a simply “oh, my bad”.

With my eyes wide open, I can still breathe,
With my eyes wide open, I can still see,
With my eyes wide open, I can still feel,
That the person I am is real and is still me,
Never should my eyes shutter closes,
Or utter disbelieves or I can’t to my woes,
For I shall strive and defeat obstacles that stands before me,
Because I can see them with both eyes wide,
Never leaving me sight even when I put them behind me,
So I shall never forget or be snuck upon by my past,
For I am going forward and leave my past last,
Left in my trail I am blazing pass,
I want to open other’s eyes, and leave them open wide,
For we can’t see what is ahead of us without our wide open eyes.  (Don’t Blink)

I was excited at the fact they tried to sell me,

That if you went to school, get educated, lots of money is what I would get,

For I was a broke guy at the time and money was what I wanted,

Not saying working hard wasn’t going to cut it but I ain’t want small money,

I wanted tall residual checks of money with long amount of zeros,

Like a circular garden hose if you chopped it up in small pieces.

I am still on the straight and narrow on that fact, umm I mean concept,

Based on where the knowledge comes from can cost you more than you gain,

Bringing you more aggression and pain, enough to drive you insane that the mission you was on,

To get all the benjamins, the dollar bills, the loot, and the stack of cash mounted from the floor to the ceiling,

Every dealings I have put together was another exciting feeling that I will make it,

But no matter all the fails and time it takes, I am still excited at the fact that one day I will get that enormous money stack.

I Can’t – Jixi Fox [#Poetry]

I can’t, as the forbidden words echos from my lips,

I am reminded of a promise I made to myself as a little kid,

who was a nobody. an outsider to the world every chance he got he was looking in,

I told myself I can’t is not a real word, it blanket of air that don’t exist,

I can’t what is that?  Who says that?  What doesn’t that even mean?

People rely on me to make the world spin in their eyes

Crying words of pains and favors, while I can’t even shed tears from my own eyes when I cry,

I can’t be the only one who tries his hardest, to not leave burdens on upon anyone else but myself,

I don’t even ask for favors, For when I do people store them away leaving them to dry on shelves,

So if I can do for me, why can’t you do for you,

Damn I use the word can’t again, I am going to rephrase it to say, what can you do for you?

I challenge myself everyday to create possibilities and a direct line of escape,

For all my unknowns I try to prepare myself at all times not to choke or to faint,

I can’t be the only one who don’t want to echo those words,

I can’t, I can’t, I can’t,

I always looks forward to say what I can do,

For if I can do for me and you can’t do for you,

What are you even on this earth to do?

It’s never easy but we live it,
It’s always in our face so we grill it,
We make up dreams, to create possibilities,
We struggle through life with responsibilities,
Big house, green lawn and a dog we envision it,
Credit card bills, terrible jobs, no degrees we living it,
We want to close our eyes to see our fantasies,
We have to open them sometimes to hate our reality,
Successful business, lovely marriage, health is what we want,
Fatty Burgers, expensive cars, and material things is what we bought,
Why can’t we just live our dreams, we aim to create,
Life is but a dream, real life is something we can’t escape,
We live we die we repeat, the curse we hope to break,
Dreams live on forever, our lives has an expiration date,
Life is an equation we try to solve even create our own codes,
Dreams stay infinite, we live our whole lives fighting for them, life becomes the foe.

(*Note (backstory)): I was thinking about that song Row Your Boat, one of the classic songs or melody while growing up, and I thought about how it adapted to life.  I thought about how we row row row our lives down the stream, thinking things will be merry and happy, but actually Life is But A Dream, not everyone gets to live the life they wanted.
