After all the lies,

I feel to Fly,

No motions to my actions,

I feel to Fly,

No sight to see,

I feel to Fly,

Love equals pain,

I feel to Fly,

I speak but no sound,

I feel to Fly,

I looks good I can’t sense you,

I feel to Fly,

I feel the touch but not you,

I feel to Fly,

I use nouns but no verbs,

I feel to Fly,

Got no games to play,

I feel to Fly,

I have no will to try,

I feel to Fly,

Can’t Live but can die,

I feel to Fly,

There are tears in my eyes,

I feel to Fly,

Some floats some glides,

I feel to Fly,

How can I cry,

I feel to Fly,

If all hopes is lost

Why do I feel like flying?

True Love – Jixi Fox – [#Poetry]

Let me be blunt, love is overrated,
Everyone is out to get it, or experience the feel,
Love is what you make it, if you say you love,
Something or somebody, Then there you go, that’s your love,

Love is like a mystery you have to figure out,
But as much as you pick up on the clues
You just seem to get side track and lost,
Then you ask where has love gone?
When will it come back again?
Do I have to go find it?
The expression slash impression of love, appeals to you,
But it has blinded you in thinking; love is a jump for joy
Knock it out the park crazy feeling, HOME RUN
But what have you endured to reach to this feeling of Love, to have it leave?

Will you fight for it?
Will you die for it?
What excites you about it?
Love can alter minds and lives, do you really want it?

20 yr old – Jixi Fox – [#Poetry]

I am a menace much similar to the kid called Dennis,
Nobody can claim what I say all up in my sentence,
Busy as I bee is what they claim I am always is,
Can’t sleep not for a second is what it always is,
Hitting dem books, and counting them stacks,
Collecting them checks, putting cash up in the bank,

I am a multi-action kind of a dude,
No one knows me quite true,
Got stuff I am trying to do times two,
I am out all night, you checking in at curfew,

High school 3.7 already claimed,
Smashed couple sweet honies that loved to say my name,
College close to 3.0 already saved,
At 19 have my own company billed in my name,
Adding digits with digits you all look at my check,
Couple more months and years, I will be fresh out of debt,
Ice grilled on the streets cause I started from scratch,
Life as a hustler to dame is just the dash,
F all the talk about credit, give me cash,
Adding to my fame and fortune and call it my stash,
Moving so fast people thinking I am the flash,
The road is going to be rough watching out trying not to crash.

Nobody’s Perfect – Jixi Fox – [#Poetry]

Jixi-Fox-Poetry-Tuesday-Series

Everyday we steadily walk along these thin lines,
Lines that divides what’s good from bad, or just fine,
As kids we hunt for the truth with our rebellious ways,
Our parents try to curb our appetite leading us on a path they have paved,

Through their mistakes our lives seems pre determined to avoid certain fates,
But no matter what we avoid there are mistakes we still tend to create,
Some of their mistake we can’t avoid and tragically we repeat,
For their voices were heard too late or very un-educatedly to us they speak,

We live our lives based on stereotypes we lazily try not to break,
We hold onto fixed morals and strategies believing through them a better life we will make,
Go to college, eat your veggies, pray to God, and commit no sins,
Always wear a condom, don’t do drugs, go hard or go home for the win,

Nobody is perfect we can only try our best with what we have got,
We breakdown to build up and we must do with what we have got,
There is no exact formula to follow, solution to drink, or tune to sing,
We just got to find what works for us, and use the power to overcome from within.

This Poem was inspired by the song, Nobody’s Perfect by J Cole and Missy Elliot

(*Note (backstory)): Nobody’s perfect, we live life through trial and error and even when we find a great path, death still lingers over our heads as a sure thing.  So we make mistakes, we learn and we break trends the best we can and live life everyday and be thankful for what we have got.)

By default you are the apple of my eye,
By default you are the only one that will ever see me cry,
Be default you are the only one that I could ever love,
The one that I am always thinking and dreaming of,

By default its only your lips that I crave,
By default your lips are what keeps me calm and safe everyday,
By default you are the one that’s better than the rest,
Just the love I deserve and I could never ever resist,

By default it’s memories of you that makes me reminisce,
By default no cloudy days but sunny ones that shall ever exist,
By default I can love more, and give to you my heart,
For it stays a whole in your hands and shall never break apart,

By default my life with you will definitely be a blessing,
By default on your chest is where I lay my head when resting,
By default loving you brings more joy than tears or sorrow,
These are the vows I can live with yesterday, today and tomorrow.

(*Note (backstory)): Think of your true love as your default setting, the person you will always reset and they will always be there.  We all don’t make it work the first time around, or the second or third, but when you know true love to be real, it will always be there, whether start or finish.)

Broken Window – Jixi Fox – [#Poetry]

Looking through this window

I can see the streets,

People hustling, lying and stealing

Just trying to eat,

Waiting for God to open up

And take them under his wings,

But its hard to live in a world

Surrounded by sin,

I just grin, when I saw this lil’ kid

Gave this girl a kiss,

It reminds me of a caring life

That I once missed,

Things all around us

Might get us pissed,

There is so much to be done

All we need is a solution so we can fix…THIS!!!
