Happy New Year, 2012 “Unleash Creativity”

So a new year has arrived and I am ready to be back in the saddle, ready to leave a mark on this world with my creativity and my comedy.  It’s been a long time coming trying to be absolutely what I knew I was but always tend to pass over, an true passionate artist.

Happy New Year to all and I hope to entertain you throughout the year and forever.

PS: I just decided to start a Project 365 | PostADay2012 series to entertain everyone everyday of the year.

It’s never easy but we live it,
It’s always in our face so we grill it,
We make up dreams, to create possibilities,
We struggle through life with responsibilities,
Big house, green lawn and a dog we envision it,
Credit card bills, terrible jobs, no degrees we living it,
We want to close our eyes to see our fantasies,
We have to open them sometimes to hate our reality,
Successful business, lovely marriage, health is what we want,
Fatty Burgers, expensive cars, and material things is what we bought,
Why can’t we just live our dreams, we aim to create,
Life is but a dream, real life is something we can’t escape,
We live we die we repeat, the curse we hope to break,
Dreams live on forever, our lives has an expiration date,
Life is an equation we try to solve even create our own codes,
Dreams stay infinite, we live our whole lives fighting for them, life becomes the foe.

(*Note (backstory)): I was thinking about that song Row Your Boat, one of the classic songs or melody while growing up, and I thought about how it adapted to life.  I thought about how we row row row our lives down the stream, thinking things will be merry and happy, but actually Life is But A Dream, not everyone gets to live the life they wanted.

I can’t sit around and be the same old Jixi,

Now I am old and playing by the same old tricks,
The opportunities I need to be on I can’t afford to miss,

When I Smile You Smile, Just Like That

Today is such a happy day for me, why you ask?  Well I am one step closer to bringing the gift of entertainment to you.  Its a delight to bring the riches of improv comedy and music to the people of the world.  My computer is 50% restored back to the production beast it used to be and to know that it’s almost back on track it just makes me smile.  So when I smile about the hard work to improve the quality of my work and be able to produce fun things for the world, shall also make you smile too.  Even though I may be super tired and can’t sleep, putting so much work to bring the laughter to you, at the end it will be worth it to see everyone smile.

So follow after me, I smile….You smile…just like that.

Improv Equals Creativity

Being an improv comedian its quite important to be very creative and resourceful when putting on a show. When you are ready to act or perform with little to no direction you have to be quick and ready to draw on some kind of concept, launch off and keep building. As much I enjoy a well choreographed performance, improv challenges me to be fresh and quick on my feet and my delivery. If you don’t lock in your audience quickly you might end up losing them all together in which they don’t care anymore for the plot or climax of your work.

I also find this the same case with music. If the beat, or the beginning doesn’t sound well, why should anyone stick around to hear the progression of the song. Lately I have been experimenting in both fields, I guess as like my audition tape to see how creativity and entertaining I can be in a short span of time and still entertain and draw in my audience.

Sunday I Missed You

Hello there Sunday, you are my favorite day of the week, did you know that?  Well if you didn’t know, now you know.  This past Sunday (jan. 9, 2011) I had forget to post a blog on that day.  I have to apologize for that because I love to post on a Sunday and that day is the day I will be releasing my series on YouTube, titled “Behind The Scenes with Jixi”.  This will be a show in which I take my audience behind the scenes in the production of my album and the things I use or go through to create my music album and comedy performances.  I think this is an awesome idea, what do you think?  Either way, if you really wanted to know why I really didn’t get to post my blog on Sunday, I fell asleep simply.  I knew I had to do it and procastinated and got tired and then poof, bedtime.  I doubt that will be happening again, but it takes a lot work and focus to create an music album and produce weekly web videos consistently in which “Behind The Scenes with Jixi” will show you.

I hope everyone SUBSCRIBE to my BLOG and my YouTube for the series release which is coming up very soon. Trust me you will enjoy.  If you are a music artist or aspiring music artist, this a great way to interact with me and also get the opportunity to share your music if we have similar works.

One of my mission in life is to be a great entertainer and entertain the people of the world with my creativity.  I mean I got an arsenal of talents and skills and some I am working on developing, but I have a crazy passionate to make people have a good time.  So with that said, with most everything I do I try my best to entertain you.  So far I have a tiny amount of music out, but they are worth listening to and quite entertaining if you are into comedic raps and etc.  Also I have a great deal of poetry out in the world, and shall soon start to bring them to my blog for you to read and enjoy.  I am currently working on my improv comedy and stand up comedy skills, so stay tuned for that.  Trust me when I say I am definitely going to rock the stage and have you laughing and having a good time.

How “The Adventure of Auto Tune” came about…
While going through my creative mind state working on my debut hip hop album “The Burna Effect” and also my mixtape “MaSSive Ephect”, I felt like experimenting and letting out some fun ideas that were coming to mind. I had just purchased a “8 GB IPod Touch” in 2010, and downloaded a million FREE Apps, being cheap and stuff, then I saw the “I AM TPAIN” App and figured, though I “HATE” rappers on AUTO TUNE, I felt since I love the creativity T-Pain brings and fun, and him being one of my Top 10 favorite Hip Hop music artist, I should purchase the App to support him, and see how I sound on AUTOTUNE. So after a quick test, with some very cheap Blackberry 8900 headphones I had purchased via Amazon.com, which had a mic, I was on my way to unleashing my creativity at random periods of time, in one take or whatever came out came out state of mind under the influence of AUTOTUNE. I felt that AUTOTUNE makes me sound like I can sing, so I went to work with that idea. After my 1st short song, I figured, if I paid $3 for the APP, I might as well make a creative project out of it and share it with the world, and there came My Adventure Of Auto Tune. Oh yea, I figure why not rap too, shoot, T-Pain does it, well he is actually a really great artist without the AUTOTUNE to me, it’s all about talent and making great songs, creating a mood and feeling and getting people to LOVE IT. I hope you enjoy my creativity.
