Hi, I’m Jixi and I enjoy writing creatively fun series. I think believe I am good at it. I want to present you with a gift of joy, happiness, and romance, my series titled “Flowers“. Okay, it’s not as dramatic as I thought the title would be, but it’s surely something I like and is very straight forward. Flowers is an original poetry series written by myself, word for word, you can’t imagine the creative chaos that goes through my mind when I come up with new content with a creative spin.

Flowers (the series) for me is definitely in my wheelhouse for at heart, I am a romantic, a lover, a modern-day Casanova (okay I don’t like the word Casanova), but all around lover of the arts, passionate, intimate, personable, and if I could give every lady in the world flowers, I would. Well, of course, that’s if they are into flowers, I have to remember and upon writing this piece a few women told me, they are most definitely not into flowers. So yes indeed, flowers are not for everyone, but poetry is. So with the theme Flowers, go on this little ride with me.

Just think of flowers & hearts, and be joyful.

The inspiration behind this project/series is just the fact that I know flowers, I heart them so much, and it’s written in February, notably the month of love, so I figure why not. Let’s add some juice and more fire to the flames of warm hearts and with great poetry with a storyline.

IF I WERE…BEAUTY

How beautiful would I be?
Would you be able to see me?
Where would be beauty be held?
What you desire my beauty?
Can my beauty be bought?
Would you trade cash for it?
Would you view it in a magazine?
Would my beauty art in an exhibit?
What is your beauty?
What is beauty?
Can the beauty you want be free?

If I were beauty, I would be a simple type of beauty.  My beauty would be non judgmental and totally comfortable.  It would be smooth and natural.  Beauty by me would welcome the eyes of interest and being different and wanting to just let oneself go.  It would be inviting and customizable based on other elements I may discover and bring into the fold.  I would wear my beauty proudly as I do today and everyday.

IF I WERE ” A SHOE”

IF I WERE… A SHOE

My sole would be big,
And shall be my print,
For every step in my movement,
I have to embrace my comfort zone,
But at a drop of a dime,
I can sprint as fast as possible,
To make it to the tip of the edge,
And catch myself from falling,
As the eyes pour on into my soul,
I shall stand strong,
Feeling ease, that I am presentable,
Intellectual and life is simply a breeze.

If I were a shoe I would be a mixture between casual and sporty.  I like having my shoes be comfortable as well as flashy and smooth looking.  I need something I can wear to a lounge and be dressy but really fun to be in that I can go running in it and jump on park benches and be playing in.  My shoes got to be something, that if the train or bus is coming and I am 2 blocks away and got a short amount of time to reach, I can run off-road and on and make it just in time to be on time and not feel like I put in any effort to make such a stride.

Committed to her way,
A lone gaze will turn you to stone,
She models full-time she is hardily ever home,
Shopping on 5th Ave showcasing her high heel,
Way over your head she is, she is a big deal,
Gaining followers and followers on her instagram and blog,
Men want to fly her away to islands and getaway lofts,
She has a sparkle when seen, even blinding at times,
I want to achieve this gem, I am trapped, her light I can’t bend.

Leopard pants I am so swag, I am the centerpiece,
I am who I am so there ain’t no messing with me,
From Paris to Italy to Germany back to NYC,
Simply because I bring the rumble to the jungle like Ali,

I am a relic, abstract and impressive,
You can’t decode me but you can read my message,
It’s says I am on top and you are not and it’s kind of awesome,
Any thoughts of you being flier that me, you might have to toss em.

Hi, I was a “Domo Ninja” for Halloween.  I figured I would just share with you my costume.  It was the first time I ever dressed up, and of course I had to mix two elements of me into one, I am an entertainer and a ninja.

Don’t spill the cup, it’s filled with ice,
Riches and gems you don’t know the price,
What is beauty when honesty is often forgotten,
People forget how to stay on top, is how they operate at the bottom,

Luxury and lush escapes our finger tips,
Serving life sentences because we didn’t have a grip,
On society, and life, racism and religion so we got to pray,
For time has changed, living costs goes up but not so the pay.

We pay the price to be where we are at…

I have been home alone thinking to myself,
The nights so cold, I need to warm up before bed,
My thoughts are running wild and thinking about wealth,
I grab for my sticks it’s crochet time, needle and thread,

Traditions passed down I am just a chick with sticks,
I create sweaters, blankets even small fuzzy bunnies,
It’s funny how it use to be the pass time for old ladies,
Now I am socializing, staying up all night, paving a way.
