My Shorty Mad At Me – Jixi Fox – [#Poetry]

We all can’t be happy every day of the year,
We can’t please everybody or easily over come our fears,
All that yapping and ringing echoing in my ears,
My shorty mad at me but the reasons aren’t always clear,
All the good times we had can overcome the bad,
We fight sometimes, but it’s healthy and normal to be mad,
It’s how we get better together that really shows what we have,
But dang it makes me sad when my love, my shorty is mad again.
We do things to each other that get on each other’s nerves,
We say things we really don’t mean, even low balling in which we don’t deserve,
Just to prove a point for a moment or to touch base with our emotions,
Loud yells and fighting screams, even the silent treatment equals a commotion,
I just want normal days, happy thoughts and a good laugh,
Creating memories of new experiences, leading to brand new paths,
I can’t do all these things when my shorty stay tripping and is mad,
Lord o Lord, why does my shorty got to be like that,
I wish I could ease her mind with a simply “oh, my bad”.

(*Note (back story)): Don’t you just hate it when you and your partner gets in a quarrel?  It’s healthy in a marriage or relationship that disagreements occur via it shows real emotions and how different each other are as people.  It’s also a stepping stone in development of an honest relationship for future happiness.
