An Artist’s Struggle of 2011, Jixi Fox

It’s been a very tough year being myself on a creative side.  I have idea after idea not to see them produce into results.  The pain of not being recognized for my true talents has been getting to me a little bit.  Entertaining others and making sure everyone has a good time is what I what to do and is very good at but I haven’t gotten the chance to do so.

I can’t say the whole year was a bust, even though a fighting through my infamously known, “Fall Curse of Fail Productivity” ummm that’s just some name I made up to represent that every fall project I have had for the last 3 years were failures.  When I say failure, I don’t mean of the creative side, but  the deliver and being ready on time.

I am ready to break curse, I am ready to be me, I am ready to overcome my struggles and unleash my creativity, to entertain the world.  My album is on the way and so is my book.

I feel like I haven’t been here in a while for a regular blog.  Gosh I treat the people so badly don’t I?  I am so sorry.  Will you forgive me?  I have been really getting me juices flowing for the last 2 months dropping a new poetry every Tuesday, and I am so excited I can keep that going.

Anyways onto the news of greatest…I am release my first single off “The Burna Effect EP” album by Jixi B. on 10.30.11…yup yup that’s tomorrow.

Also I have noticed there is a lazy of photos of Jixi floating around…lol, more like NONE, well let’s change that.  I am shooting photos with a Professional Photographer, in Bronx, New York I know, ummm he is actually my manager also, but he is super creative. Everyday we steadily walk along these thin lines,
Lines that divides what’s good from bad, or just fine,
As kids we hunt for the truth with our rebellious ways,
Our parents try to curb our appetite leading us on a path they have paved,

Through their mistakes our lives seems pre determined to avoid certain fates,
But no matter what we avoid there are mistakes we still tend to create,
Some of their mistake we can’t avoid and tragically we repeat,
For their voices were heard too late or very un-educatedly to us they speak,

We live our lives based on stereotypes we lazily try not to break,
We hold onto fixed morals and strategies believing through them a better life we will make,
Go to college, eat your veggies, pray to God, and commit no sins,
Always wear a condom, don’t do drugs, go hard or go home for the win,

Nobody is perfect we can only try our best with what we have got,
We breakdown to build up and we must do with what we have got,
There is no exact formula to follow, solution to drink, or tune to sing,
We just got to find what works for us, and use the power to overcome from within.

(*Note (backstory)): Nobody’s perfect, we live life through trial and error and even when we find a great path, death still lingers over our heads as a sure thing.  So we make mistakes, we learn and we break trends the best we can and live life everyday and be thankful for what we have got.)

After a month of hard work and late nights and no sleep trying to figure out how to keep on doing my challenge [Blog-A-Day-May] and producing 3 singles off the album The Adventures of Auto Tune 2 and release weekly the 5 songs, I am done.  I just want to thank the world and mostly GOD for keeping me going and on point.

I get caught up in a lot of things to do and never got to finish the album in time.  I still have tonight, and tomorrow to drop this album…it’s time to go back to work.  I cannot fail. rawrrr lol.

Waiting until the last minute, Damn time flies! [Blog-A-Day-May] #29

Oh My God I haven’t finished the album yet. I so hope this don’t come to kick me in the ass. I am so going to have to finish it by 5/30 so I can prep them or all my sites and newly created ones. I feel good about the album and its development.

I am so excited to get this project done and move unto my next months project and then onto my debut actual hip hop album, but its very tough to let go of the fact that I want to move on but I have to complete this project on time. Its a very tough cookie.

Well let’s put this all on faith and see what happens.
