Trying to escape…
Fleeing the scene of the crime,
Pride tucked between my legs,
Trying to escape the bullies,
The mob is catching me,
Working my hardest to not trip,
For a killer is on the loose,
I tie my shoes,
Forget it I am running barefoot,
Trying my best not to slip,
Slipping through the cracks,
Ducking the people tossing junk my way,
I am running so fast,
You can’t catch me,
I made it to home plate safe,
I escaped.
