Ending The Year Off On A High | StoryTime

My Year In Review

Wow, the countdown is real. The anticipation of a new year. The build-up is so wild. The conversations I shared, the people I met, the photos I took and didn’t take—the list is huge. All of this was happening, and I was happy. I mean, I had some bad days, trust me.

a pic of a guy on a bike.

THE BAD DAYS

I always lost my vision; I almost lost a leg. But I am happy for my vision and ability to walk. 2023 was so real, as it really lost a lot of people. I saw a lot of people suffering. I saw a lot of people blocking their own blessings. I was so confused, but I could understand that life is tough.

The Good Days

The 5-6 soccer games I went to were an amazing feeling; to the highly focused bonding time I had with my brother and mother made the good shine a bit brighter. The simple things were the biggest part of 2023. Oh man, I was tested, but I stuck it out according to the plan I had. I had to be present—more present than I have ever been—and supportive. I was really challenged. I like a good challenge, but this was hard but rewarding. I don’t know if people can be happy with that. Oh yea, I blogged and wrote on my website the entire year, like every day. I know it’s not the 31st yet, but in a calendar year, 365 days. Completed. It’s now legendary; it took 12–13 years to complete, but look at God. wow.

The Milestones

I broke some records this year and started some very important new habits. I have a whole post for this. Click here.

A short version of milestones:
– Invested into Stock more
– Planned a few vacations
– Celebrated myself more instead of just saying I knew I could do it. I did it, and respected that I really done it well for myself.
– Posted 365 days on my blog.
– Passed “515 days” writing.
– Hit my Fitness Goal on my Apple Watch for “583 Days” straight. The biggest streak of my life.

Conclusion

2023 was tough, but I hang on in there. As the world was spinning out of control, I held my ground. I could pretty up words more, but I don’t want or need to. I made the best of every little grain I was given.

Let me know your thoughts.

Stick To Your Guts

It’s so much more important than ever I feel to trust your gut. Knowing and catering to your identity is vital in today’s social climate. I tend to see lead themselves astray trying to be or keep up the others not even checking for them. In the holiday time of year, it can get lonely, but I say please find your peace and build a nice secure wall around it. Okay, yes, you can install windows to peek out and greet others from a far, thats okay.

It’s All Worth It, Just Take The Shot #NoteToSelf

No escaping,
It’s dating back,
As things fade to black,
We trying to stay in tack.

For big results, we must put action behind them. We can’t tell in the moment how the result will form, but without action, there is none at all.

What’s one action you are looking to take soon?

Will Be A Bit More Than I Am #NoteToSelf

Writing a note to myself as my post of the day. I truly would like to be more than I am when it comes to asking for what I truly want. I know I am willing to work for what I want. I just don’t ask for exactly what I want. I am pretty adaptable, so therefore I don’t ask and get, but accept and work with. I am willing to try something a bit different, and see how it works for me.

Have you ever ask for exactly what you wanted?

If you do ask and get what you wanted, how was your reaction?

The Biggest Risk Ever, WOW

Daily writing prompt
What’s the biggest risk you’d like to take — but haven’t been able to?

This prompt hits the soul, the biggest risk would be to pure my heart out to someone, and ask them to love me unconditionally. I want this one person to just trust in you, even though you haven’t known each other long, that I got them, and I just want them to have me.

CAN’T SPEAK FOR EVERYONE IN THE ROOM

It’s a bit tense,
Can’t afford to live here,
Too high is the rent,
I am really bent,
Seems like I am not the only one,
That has something to say,
Some with different reasoning,
Add a little sauce,
Different seasoning,
But whatever the stakes,
Whatever it takes,
Just be quiet,
Don’t speak out of place,
Not for everyone.

PASSING BY

Last chance to catch the train,
The train of life,
Moving so fast,
We don’t want to be last,
As it passes you by,
Hold on to every moment,
Enjoy every moment make it right.

WHEN IS THERE

Ready to lift off,
I can’t touch ground,
Gravity,
I am so happy to free,
Free in my mind,
Sanity.
